Jack Nicholson

This started out as a lunchtime sketch and turned into something slightly more substantial. I've always been a fan of Jack; The Shining being my favourite of his movies.

As soon as I saw this photo (which appeared on the cover of a newspaper supplement) I knew had to use it as a reference. I love that it's a picture of old Jack, as he is now but I also love that it has shades of his Joker performance to it.

It's a classic 'Jack face'. That's why I painted it.
