...on vacation! :D

This coming weekend, myself & Mrs Scout are heading to Florida. :excited:

We fly out from the UK and into Miami on Saturday for a few days (hotel is on South Beach - awesome) Then we're headed up to Orlando for a week of coaster fun stopping at Naples & Sarasota for a couple of nights on the way. Hoping to take in some of the Everglades on our drive from east to west and maybe a quick detour to the Keys.

I've already got plans for my next portrait which will continue Director Series II. I'm really keen to get it started and I reckon the holiday will be the perfect preparation. It'll be a proper, fully fleshed out, 12+ hours portrait to accompany Clint who was the unofficial first subject. The list for the remaining five subjects is pretty much locked down but feel free to suggest directors you'd like to see in DSIII. :aww:

So yeah... I'm gonna be quiet for a bit.

I lived in Orlando for a year going to school there. Make sure you check out Church Street Station there in Orlando! It's great fun to walk around and they have the best Haunted House thing there in the world. I forget what it's called, but it's very professionally done and you can't miss it! Have fun in your travels and be safe!

Have a good time in Florida! I used to go there every summer as a kid to visit my grandparents in Lake Hatchineha, and we'd take day trips to Orlando.

Be careful driving down there. I drove truck down there for a year (back in 1979), delivering all over the state and those were the worst drivers, on whole, that I ever had to deal with. Went back, about ten years ago and am unhappy to say, they had gotten worse.

Otherwise, you should have a great time. Nothing wrong with a good tourist trap, if it is built right and they build them right down there.
