11:25pm - Literally got in from seeing the movie about 10 minutes ago so I'm gonna be quick.
I can honestly say it's one of the best movies I have ever seen. There's been a lot of chatter about how great the movie is and last time checked it was at #1 on the IMDb Top 250 Movies of All Time... but it really is that good!
As superhero/comic book films go, it's pretty darn near perfect. The story arc for several characters is huge. There's several surprises in store plus the single greatest magic trick ever committed to film...

I'm seeing it again on IMAX next week and cannot wait.

And please, if you post a comment,
keep it spoiler-free for the benefit of those who haven't yet seen it.

So some of you may have picked up on the fact that Im a teensy bit excited about seeing
The Dark Knight which finally gets it's UK release here on Friday 25 July. Unfortunately I'm at a wedding on Friday... well, I say unfortunately - I'm sure it's going to be a lovely day and the happy couple will have a wonderful time but really... could their timing be any worse?...

I'm joking of course - I have tickets to see it
tonight at a preview screening. In 12 hours time (it's currently 7:15am) I will be hauling Mrs 'Scout off to stand in line with me for a ridiculous length of time to ensure we get good seats.
I'm not the only one that likes to get there early, right?... anyone?... Bueller?...Included with the admission price is a "lenticular poster" which means it's one of those fancy hologram style posters that kinda moves when you move it round. If anyone bought the recent
Batman Begins Blu-ray gift set, there was one included with that.

So. Yeah. Excitement for tonight is mounting quickly. I'm going to get zero work done today.

Monday was the
European Premiere of the movie in London's Leicester Sqaure.
AND I WAS THERE!!
Standing in the sun for 6 hours was totally worth the sight of the Tumbler revving up and tearing up the red carpet!
I was hoping for some autographs but alas, had to settle for some very close photographs instead. The uber-geek autograph hunters were out in force, which pee'd me off a little since it's obvious they're not there as film fans...

Christian Bale, Sir Michael Caine, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal - all came within touching distance. Even Peter Saarsgard was there sporting a "great big bushy beard!"
I uploaded some photos here -->
[link]I'll report back once I've seen the movie!...

OH MY GOD! we totally have something in common! we both like stuff!
I'm Hayley Williams in The Guitar Hero Claims Committee!
I have to say, though, Hellboy II was a major disappointment. I'm kind of concerned, to be honest, about him doing The Hobbit now.
Really starting to wish Peter Jackson could have worked out a deal...
