Work in Progress stage of part three in my series of animal portraits

As a result of the recent poll (which you can still vote on by the way!), this fellow came out top as my next subject and what a pleasure it has been to work on! Once again, I'm using Photoshop and limiting myself to hard-edged brushes and only 1 layer.

I was slightly cautious since the fur is very dense and coarse which isn't so easy to render with the brushes I have at my disposal but it's actually coming along really well. It's becoming a lot more photorealistic than I intended but I'm going to continue with that style now that it's gotten this far. :nod:

:aww: i had started doing thyis wolf a few days ago :( looks no where nar as good as this i cant get the fur to look "real"

I've found I have better success if I concentrate more on the shape & colours - if you get those right, the realism should come naturally. :)
