This is the second sitting of my new speedpainting of Benicio Del Toro as the iconic Universal horror character. :skull:
45 minutes condensed into 9

If you sit through all 9 minutes of this video, I owe you a pint... or a cookie... or something! :faint:
(My advice? Skip to about halfway through. ;))

I spent twice as long working on the piece in this sitting than in the first, but it doesn't feel as productive a session. At least not to begin with. I'm saving WIP shots at the end of each sitting and having them side by side really shows the difference.

I'll admit, there's quite a lot of dilly-dallying in this video... to-ing & fro-ing... procrastination... call it what you will. And for that I apologise.

The focus in this one is tonal changes to what I've already done, colour adjustments & the bit I've been looking forward to a lot - the teeth! :excited:

This is playing back at 5x the original speed. I had it 9x initially but it was too jerky and wasn't very clear what was going on. I hope at this speed you can make out at least some of what I'm doing.

I had a reference photo to work from but it was over on my other screen. The painting itself was all freehand though.

Glad you like it, and the movie too! :D

My thought: I watched the first video all the way through, why not this one? That was so awesome! It is just so neat to watch the picture unfold. Great job!

You owe me a pint and/or a cookie. 'cos I watched the whole thing. I was sitting here going "Wait?! What ARE you doing? That looks weird!" and then within a few brush strokes it starts making sense. You have such amazing skill, mate. I'm envious!

I cannot wait to see the final product... or the movie! :)

It's a deal! :cookie:

I think exactly the same thing as I'm painting - "Wait, what are you doing?!"... *brushbrushbrush*... "Phew, ok, back on track"

It's a rollercoaster, I'm telling you! :faint:
