::Tea progress:: by BikerScout ::Tea progress:: by BikerScout
Started this ages ago and it came to an abrupt halt, so I dusted it off for another shot. :fingerscrossed:

I really liked the sketch stage of this one. (It's not very clear in this view, but I added it to my Scraps here) There's a lot of hair which I think is why it stalled early on. I decided it was time to face my demons! :faint:

In some ways it's quite similar to the Scarlett piece - the angle of the head is almost the same so I'm using the same colour palette and have also used the same background (albeit flipped).

This was my first serious 'hair piece' (if you'll pardon the pun :giggle:) and I really tried hard to get the hair looking as realistic as possible. :aww:

:star: See the finished piece here!

You're welcome! I hope you find it useful. :w00t: And although it's over 6 years old, the techniques still apply. That's the great thing about digital work - the main processes never change, just the technology. :aww:

I was wondering... is there a specific brush that you use??

I only use the default brushes so there's no fancy brush sets or anything. It'll either be hard-edged, or soft-edged. Sometimes I play about with scattering & spacing the Brush palette. But honestly... there's nothing complex or fancy going on here! :)
