Started this ages ago and it came to an abrupt halt, so I dusted it off for another shot.
This is my first serious attempt at painting realistic hair. I'm really pleased with the final look. In some ways it's quite similar to the Scarlett Johannson piece - in terms of the angle of the head and the colour palette.  PhotoShop CS2 + Wacom 9-10 hours work 2400px x 3000px Walkthrough -->  Detail shots -->  Comments nice work
