This is a stippling piece I'm doing as a thank-you to those who entered the Stippling Contest.


:bulletred: WIP 1 - A4 page, 2B pencil sketched quite lightly to make it easier to erase once dots are added.
Working time - 1˝ hours

:bulletred: WIP 2 - Started with the blocks of solid black, then moved onto the facial features. Initial background shade added around hat.
Working time - 5˝ hours

:bulletred: WIP 3 - Overall tone on the face is complete, and have now started on the coat. Still a lot of work to do on the background.
Working time - 7 hours

This portrait is the second time I have used work by the great George Hurrell as reference.

That's awkwardly awesome, I did the same photo of Bogart and as a stipple in high school!

Your's is better though.

I don't either. :O_o: I usually have a movie on at the same time, which definitely helps the time pass whilst working.
