Part 1 of my Director Series

Welles was both an accomplished actor & director. He famously turned down the opportunity to provide the voice for Darth Vader in the original Star Wars and created mass hysteria when his reading of War of the Worlds was broadcast on radio and everyone thought it was real.

A genius. :salute:


This piece took approximately 6 hours to complete, a dozen or so layers, A4 @ 300dpi.

And it's not over yet! #6 is already in production and might just be my favourite one yet!

I'm in two minds over this one though. Parts of it I love - the eyes in particular. Mainly, I just wanted to get it finished since it was the first one and was getting left behind.

You're absolutely right, dude. He provided a lot of voiceovers and narrations. In the Transformers movie he was the voice for Unicron. He also did the voiceover for the original Star Wars teaser trailer (not sure if they are on the recently released DVD set or not...) And if that wasn't enough, he was also in The Muppet Movie... :worship:

He got turned down for the Brando role in The Godfather and he was also a magician, and used to practice magic just in case his movie career came to an end. And get this - his favourite meal was two steaks and a pint of scotch. :O_o: Oh, and Vincent D'Onofrio played him in Burton's Ed Wood.
