I decided it was time to try another loose, less refined style - ideally something high contrast to compliment the Scribble Series ([link][link][link]).
I've done a few stippling pieces in traditional media ([link][link][link]) and have wondered whether transferring that technique to digital would work. This is my first experiment with it and so far it's going pretty well. The main difference being that in Photoshop you can adjust the size of the brush very quickly using keyboard shortcuts. Using these keys and the Wacom tablet allows for very fast application of dots.
This is the first 'pass' if you like. All 100% white on black rather than black pen on white paper. I intend to add more depth by applying white at lower opacity - again, slightly different to the traditional technique so we'll see how it goes.
Can't wait to see it finished.
Me love the Aliens. They be fun and drippy.
