Carlzon portrait by BikerScout Carlzon portrait by BikerScout
Digital painting based on this wonderful photograph by *carlzon :iconcarlzon:

This is my most technical, and hence ambitious, painting yet. The ref photo has a number of light sources so the colour graduations are subtle and varied which really tested my eye for colour.

And I worked directly with colour - something I very rarely do - but this piece demanded colour from the very beginning.

Again, huge thanks to Bernt for allowing me to use his photograph as a reference. :aww:

Carlzon portrait by *BikerScout is so life-like you would swear he was looking right into your soul. Amazing lighting and skin textures make this an outstanding portrait painting! ( Suggested by Aeires and Featured by cosmosue )

There's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't be able to paint something like this!

It just takes practice. Lots of practice... :faint:
